Change beneficiaries

You can name anyone to be a beneficiary. Most people choose their spouse, child, relative or close friend. Some people choose their business or estate. You can have multiple beneficiaries and assign a percentage of payment to them.

  1. Sign in to your member account.

If you do not have one, you need to register for a member account.

  2. Go to Account and select Beneficiary information.
  3. Select Update beneficiaries.
  4. Review the declaration.
  5. Select the checkbox and click Next to continue.
  6. Select Add beneficiary to add another beneficiary.

If you have beneficiaries, you can edit or remove them.

  7. When you’re done, go to Next. This will open a section called Contingent beneficiaries. Repeat the process from step 6 if this applies to you.
  8. Click on Next to open a section called Minor beneficiaries designation (trustee). Repeat the process from step 6 if this applies to you.
  9. When you're done, select Review changes.
  10. If everything looks good, click Submit.

More information

Your list of beneficiaries should reflect your wishes. Review the list annually and make updates if there have been changes to your family.
