Allocate your spending account credits

This feature is available to members on an employer-sponsored group plan that offers multiple spending accounts. You'll only see this feature during your allocation period.


Tips to help you get ready

Before you start allocating, it's a good idea to check your allowable expenses and review how you spent your credits in previous years.

Check allowable expenses

There are eligible expenses for different types of spending accounts. Knowing what's covered will help you allocate your credits wisely based on your planned expenses.

Go to Benefits and choose a spending account. Select Allowable expenses.

View credit usage dashboard

A credit usage dashboard provides a visual summary of your usage by benefit type. It's only available for non-taxable spending accounts, like a health spending account.

The dashboard shows what you spent the most on in previous years. This can help you quickly identify trends in your spending habits so you can decide if you need to change your allocation for the upcoming benefit year.

Go to Benefits and choose your health spending account. Select Credit usage dashboard.


How to allocate your credits

Choose how many credits you want in each spending account.

  1. Go to the Allocate your credits button above the menu.
  2. Enter a credit amount for each spending account and click Submit.
  3. Click Finish to return to the home page.

Once you submit your allocation, you'll receive an email confirmation.

Changed your mind? It happens. You can update your credit amounts anytime during your allocation period.
