What is iCBT?
iCBT is a program designed to treat individuals with conditions such as mild to moderate anxiety and depression, post-traumatic stress, insomnia, panic disorder, pain management and substance use issues.
iCBT providers
We’ve carefully selected therapist-guided programs that use only registered mental health providers. Access their dedicated Alberta Blue Cross® landing pages at Therapist Guided Program by MindBeacon and TELUS Health CBT by TELUS Health.

How iCBT works
You and your dependents will be able to access these iCBT programs online or via an app that’s downloaded on a smartphone or tablet. Coverage for therapist-guided iCBT, whether through our partners or other providers, is covered through your psychology benefit.
Personalized therapy
You will receive one-on-one support from a registered therapist while following a structured, clinically effective approach that you can do on your own time, in your own way.
Private and secure
Your personal information and interactions with the therapist are completely confidential.
Practical and proactive
iCBT makes users aware of their negative thinking and prepares them to better cope with challenging situations as they arise.
How to claim
You will be billed in installments as you continue to access the program. Submit iCBT claims to Alberta Blue Cross® for reimbursement on our member site or app. You will be covered up to your plan’s annual and/or per visit maximum under your existing psychology benefit limits and you can claim the balance through your Health Spending Account if you have one as part of your benefits plan. Individuals will need to meet the minimum age requirement, which differs for each program, and undergo an assessment to determine whether they’re suited for iCBT.
